Terms of service

1. What this service is

Weddli is a directory. We publish profiles of wedding businesses so couples can find them. We are not a party to any booking, contract or payment between a couple and a vendor, we do not vet the quality of anyone's work, and we take no commission.

2. Using the site

You agree not to:

• Scrape, bulk-copy or resell the directory data.
• Submit listings for businesses you are not authorised to represent.
• Post fake, incentivised or conflicted reviews - your own, a competitor's, or on someone else's behalf.
• Upload content you do not hold the rights to, including photographs.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service.

We may suspend or remove any account or listing that breaks these rules, usually without warning where the breach is deliberate.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password secure. You must be at least 16 to register. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access.

4. Listings

Listings are free. Submissions are reviewed before publication and we may decline or remove any listing at our discretion - for example if the business is closed, unrelated to weddings, or duplicated.

You keep ownership of the text and images you upload, and you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, resize and distribute them as part of the directory, including in search engine results and social previews. You confirm you have the right to grant that licence - if a photographer shot your venue, make sure you are licensed to publish the images.

Claiming a listing you do not own or represent is grounds for removal.

5. Reviews

Reviews must describe your own genuine experience with the business. One review per person per vendor. We moderate for spam, abuse and conflicts of interest, and we remove reviews that break those rules - but we do not remove a review simply because the business dislikes it.

Reviews are the opinions of the people who wrote them, not of Weddli.

6. Accuracy

Listing details come from the businesses themselves and from public sources, and they go out of date. We make a reasonable effort to keep the directory correct but cannot guarantee that any price, availability, phone number or description is current. Always confirm directly with the vendor before booking.

7. Third-party links

Vendor websites, social profiles and map data are operated by other people. We are not responsible for their content, their privacy practices or anything you agree to with them.

8. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any dispute, cancellation, no-show or dissatisfaction arising from your dealings with a vendor found through this directory. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Intellectual property

The Weddli name, design and the compiled directory are ours. If you believe content on the site infringes your copyright, tell us through the contact form with enough detail to identify the work and the page, and we will investigate and remove it where the claim is valid.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means you accept the new version. You may close your account at any time, and we may terminate access where these terms are breached.
